Ofira Henig & Ensemble
Geh mir aus der Sonne
In a skillfully assembled collage of historical and biographical material, Ofira Henig examines the topic of artistic independence from different angles. Her own biography is characterized by the conflict between art and politics, as are the experiences of the Israeli and Palestinian actors of her ensemble. In addition, she introduces a series of historical figures whose work also emerged from such conflict: Heinrich Heine, Federico Garcia Lorca, Robert Capa and Leni Riefenstahl. Henig contrasts the personal statements of those artists with her own words, has them encounter each other over the course of time, individual episodes gradually merging into a captivating theatrical whole.
