My Paradoxical Knives

The traditional white robe of Sufi dancers symbolizes safety, gentleness and poise. Draped with knives from top to bottom, the Iranian dancer, actor and performer Ali Moini reverses the character of this meditative dance into its opposite: the faster he whirls around, the more threateningly the knifes point at the audience!
