Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll)
Remote Zürich
«This is cooler than theatre and computer games put together.» Stefan Kaegi’s site-specific project was received with enthusiasm when first presented in Berlin. After Lisbon, Hanover and Avignon, the theatre wiz of Rimini Protokoll puts Zurich on the map for an exploration of the borders between reality and fiction, art and life. A group of 50 people, equipped with radio headphones, is sent on a virtual paper chase through a real city. The 2-hour audio tour starts at the new stock market at the centre of Zurich and ends, after various stopovers, at the Landiwiese. An entertaining lesson in group behaviour and our perceptions of the world we live in. (kdi)
